IEP Parent Training
Colorado Department of Education developed a training to support meaningful parent participation in the special education process. The ten-module training and related resources cover the following topics:
- Module 1: IDEA and Scope of Special Education
- Module 2: Special Education Evaluation
- Module 3: Special Education Eligibility
- Module 4: IEP Development, Review, and Revision
- Module 5: Least Restrictive Environment
- Module 6: IEP Implementation
- Module 7: Parent and Student Rights
- Module 8: Discipline
- Module 9: Resolving Disagreements
- Module 10: Section 504
PEP Conference
PEP conferences are for parents/guardians who have children with disabilities, ages 0-21; professionals who work with families with children with disabilities, aged 0-21; and for support persons who support parents raising child(ren) with disability or who are caretakers of child(ren) with a disability in the family (can include a grandparent(s) or other relatives).

The Arc of Weld County
The Arc of Weld County is an advocacy organization dedicated to safeguarding the rights of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Weld County and six surrounding counties: Morgan, Logan, Sedgwick, Phillips, Washington, and Yuma.
